Vegan hot chocolate

Vegan hot chocolate

Ingredients

This spicy, warm, thick drink with a strong taste of nuts and chocolate flavored with spices, is perfect for the winter season. Its time arrives when streets are covered with snow, and it’s either squeaky freezing outside or, to the contrary there is an unbearable muddy slush underfoot. Just hold the warm cup of hot chocolate in your hands, breathe in this spicy nutty-chocolate aroma and your imagination will take you to a chalet somewhere in the Alps, and there you are sitting by a fireplace and the fire is burning.

Tips:

  1. Feel free to use any other nut milk in place of the hazelnut milk. However, if you use soya or rice milk, the otherwise rich taste of the hot chocolate might be lacking.
  2. If you are using cocoa powder with sugar, don’t forget to reduce the stated sugar ration and increase the cocoa powder ratio.
  3. You can substitute sugar with 4 tablespoons of an agave syrup.
  4. If there is a possibility that the cocoa powder you are going to use can go lumpy, dissolve it in a small amount of warmed up milk first.
