Triangular honey chicken wings

Ingredients

Spicy and piquant, with balanced sweetness and incredible taste – this is how you can describe these chicken wings. We suggest twisting them in triangles. The wings will look neater and more compact, and if you cook them over a brazier, they will remain in the rack. It isn’t hard to cook them but you should marinate them the previous day before cooking.

Prepare the ingredients. Peel the garlic and ginger.

Wash and pat dry the chicken wings. Twist them in triangles: twist the thinnest falange over the thickest one till you hear a snap. This will help to fix the wings in a triangular shape.

Finely grate the ginger and garlic. Prepare the marinade by combining the honey, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and olive oil.

Put the triangular wings into a bowl and pour with the marinade, mix well, cover the bowl with a cling film and leave for an hour at room temperature or overnight in the fridge.

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Layer a baking tray with foil and spread the wings onto it. Don’t pour with the marinade or remove the garlic. Season with salt and pepper (optional).

Bake for 25-20 mins in the middle of the oven till golden crust. Don’t overcook them as they will get dry, so don’t increase the cooking time much. Enjoy your meal!
