You’re a sushi soul, you must have this recipe in your cookbook. You may come across “Spicy sake” in the menus of lots of different Japanese restaurants, and this can be translated as “spicy salmon”. This is a great Japanese-style appetizer with the unique Asian flavours bouquet.

Finely dice the salmon or trout filet.

Prepare the topping: combine the fish with garlic (minced using a garlic press), add the soy sauce, Tabasco, lime juice, mayonnaise and cottage cheese. Mix everything well.

Boil the mussels for 3 mins in slightly salted boiling water.

Sprinkle each mussel with some lime or lemon juice. Put 1 tsp fish topping onto each mussel. Top with red caviar.
