Do you like homemade bakings? If so, try out this apple pie. The pastry resembles puff but is much quicker and easier to make. Thin layers of the pastry and lots of apple filling will be a light complement for any dinner.

Eggs, butter and water should be cold. Sift the flour, wash the apples.

Combine the flour, salt, 90 g butter eggs and water in a mixer bowl. Mix till combined. You may also do it in hand but you have to mix quickly. Mixer is preferable, as the metal bowl prevents the butter from melting, thus giving the necessary flaky texture.

Peel the apple and remove the core, slice thinly.

Preheat the oven to 170°C. Divide the pastry into 4 equal parts. Roll one part thinly, dust with flour if necessary. The diameter should be the same as the one of the form (we used a 18cm one).

Transfer the pastry into a form greased with a little butter. Spread about 1/3 of the filling and sprinkle with 25 g sugar).

Repeat the procedure twice: the pastry, apples and sugar. Finally make the third layer of pastry, spread the remaining apples and sugar. Cover the pie with the last pastry sheet, seal the edges. Pierce the pastry with a fork or make some light cuts for decoration. Brush the pie with water.

Bake in the middle of the oven, about 40 mins. If you have the grill mode, you may use it 10 mins before the pie is done.
