Lemon pickled radish

Lemon pickled radish

Ingredients

Today we suggest making pickled radish. Yes, that’s right! This will be a great appetizer and complement some main course or salad. Just 5 mins to cook and some time to let it get pickled. You can serve the radish in an hour but we recommend leaving it at least overnight. The radish will soften and get a nice pink shade.

Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. Wash the radish thoroughly, remove the root and greens.

Slice the radish thinly. Wash the lemon thoroughly. Finely zest the lemon (just the thin yellow layer) and add to the radish. Squeeze the juice out of ½ lemon and combine with the radish.

Add the soy sauce, vinegar, salt, sugar and mustard. Mix well.

Put into a glass jar, pour with the oil, cover with a lid and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Shake the jar 2-3 times during this time (preferably).

Pickled radish>/b> is done! Store in the fridge for up to 1 week. Enjoy your meal!
