    In a casserole, bring some water to boil and cook fusilli to “al dente” (so that it isn’t too soft and is still springy to the touch). Put fusilli onto a colander, keep water for further use. While pasta is being cooked, chop onion and garlic into small pieces. Heat up 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan and fry the onion and garlic on a low fire for 3-5 minutes until transparent, stirring occasionally.

    Add tomatoes or passata to the onion, mix well. Stir in peas (if frozen, you don’t have to defrost them beforehand), add 3 tablespoons of water from the fusilli and cook on a medium fire for 3-5 minutes.

    Wash basil or parsley leaves, cut in big chunks. Cut feta in cubes, dampening the knife in water from time to time. Put the fusilli, basil, feta, 3 more tablespoons of water from the fusilli, mix well. Add some salt, pepper, mix again and cook for 3-4 minutes longer.
