Fruit salad served in a pineapple

Fruit salad served in a pineapple

Ingredients

Sometimes we all want to treat our nearest and dearest to a light dessert. And the easiest and quickest way to do this is a fruit salad. A combination of bright flavours and an unusual serving in pineapple halves – this will definitely surprise the people you love. This salad will also be a centerpiece at a children’s party, and if, suppose, you dress it with some sweet sparkling wine, this will make a great finish for a romantic dinner or be a wonderful St Valentine’s breakfast.

Step 1

Start cooking 40 minutes – 1 hour before serving, no longer. Wash all the fruits (as well as pineapple) in a hot running water to get rid of wax and all the dirt. Cut the pineapple in half lengthwise. Don’t cut off the leaves.

Step 2

Make two “bowls” out of the pineapple halves. To do this, cut the flesh round the perimeter and scoop it. A scoop for ice cream will be very convenient in this case.

Tips:

  1. You can pick up your own fruits to your taste or according to the season.
  2. If your fruits are too sour, you can dress them with a mixture of lemon or pineapple juice plus 1 tsp honey.
  3. You can decorate your salad with chocolate, shredded coconut or whipped cream.
