Ingredients

Cured fish is loved by everyone, as it’s  a great appetizer for a festive table and an indispensable ingredient for everyday dishes, i.e. sandwiches or appetizers. Let’s cure the salmon at home! Just 15 mins for preparation, 2 days for curing – and home-cured fish is done!

Wash the fish in the cold running water, pat dry and cut into pieces that would fit into the curing form. Wash the parsley.

Put the fish into the form and pour the vodka on top. Distribute the parsley leaves and stems pushing them slightly into the fish.

Pour the salt onto the fish in an even layer. Don’t forget to cover the sides as well.

Cover the form with a cling film and refrigerate for 2 days. After that, use the fish to cook your favourite sandwiches, salads or rolls. The salmon is good for everything!

Tips:

  1. You may also use dog-salmon or humpback-salmon.
  2. Any strong drink instead of vodka will also work.
