Ingredients

Cottage cheese casserole is a traditional and childhood favourite breakfast dish for many people. Use this recipe to make a casserole from soft cottage cheese, cream, chocolate, and you’ll get not just a nice breakfast but also a great dessert. It resembles cheesecake, and is exquisite due to the chocolate. The recipe was taken from Olesya Kuprin’s book “Let’s have breakfast!”

Prepare the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Whisk the eggs with sugar at high speed of the mixer till stiff, about 3 mins. Combine with the cottage cheese.

Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 30-40 secs or over baine marie, cool slightly. Add to the egg mixture.

Mix the starch with the milk and add to the egg mixture.

Pour the mixture over the cottage cheese and mix thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a baking form (we used four 200-250 ml ones; or use one 18-20 cm, preferably a springform). Fill them at ¾. Bake in the middle of the oven for 25 mins.

Casserole with white chocolate is done. Decorate with berries and icing sugar and serve.
