Chocolate muffins with toffee condensed milk

Ingredients

We suggest cooking these delicious chocolate muffins with our childhood’s favourite toffee condensed milk. This recipe is your go-to one when you need something for tea or it can be a good finish for a festive table. Use some snowflakes or hearts sprinkles to make your muffins suitable for any thematic party.

Prepare the ingredients. Remove the egg, butter and kefir from the fridge so that they are at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Mix the sugar with the soft butter with a spoon, add the egg and mix well.

Add the kefir, cocoa powder, baking powder and vanillin, mix well after each ingredient.

Finally add the flour and mix till homogeneous and lumpless. The batter will be quite runny.

Prepare the muffin tins. If you use silicone ones, no preparation is needed. If they are metal, grease them with a little butter. Fill the tins at 2/3 and bake in the middle of the oven for 30 mins. Don’t increase the temperature, or the muffins will crack.

Remove the muffins from the tins and let cool. Make an indentation in the middle of every muffin (2 cm deep and 2 cm in diameter) using a special cutter.

Sprinkle the muffins with sifted icing sugar. Fill a pastry bag (or just a plastic bag) with the toffee condensed milk.

Cut the tip and fill each indentation with the condensed milk. Leave for 20 mins to let the filling spread gradually.

Decorate with the sprinkles and put them into liners (optional).
