    Step 1

    Wash the millet thoroughly in the running water (wash once in the hot water). Continue washing till the water is translucent.

    In a pan combine the millet and water, bring to a boil. Reduce the heat till minimum and cook, uncovered, till all the liquid is absorbed. It takes 5-7 mins.

    In a bowl combine milk and cocoa powder. Mix thoroughly till there’re no lumps.

    Pour the milk into the pan with the kasha, add chopped chocolate and cook over low heat for 15-20 mins, or till the millet is cooked. Don’t forget to stir. Add some more milk or water, if necessary.

    If necessary, put the cottage cheese through a sieve or mash with a fork and combine with the honey.

    Serve the kasha in plates or small jars or glasses, topped with cottage cheese and decorated with berries (optional).
