Take the butter out of the fridge prior to start cooking to make it room temperature. Beat it with a mixer until pale.

Separate egg whites from yolks. Add yolks to the butter and mix. In separate bowl whisk the egg whites with sugar until stable peaks.

Add milk, sifted flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar and salt to the butter-yolks batter. Beat until smooth.

Step-by-step add the beaten egg whites into the batter, carefully mix with spatula.

Preheat the waffles baking machine, put the batter (for one waffle you need 3 tablespoons of batter). Cook 6-8 minutes.

Cook the sauce. Put cherry (you can use frozen cherry) into small saucepan, add water, lemon juice and sugar. Bring to the boil. Then add black rum and continue to cook for 20 minutes on low heat. Remove saucepan from the heat, add broken into small pieces chocolate and stir until chocolate is completely dissolved.
