Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Put a big pan with water for the pasta over heat. Meanwhile, heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a frying pan and sauté the vegetable mix for 5-7 mins, then set aside. The recipe uses cauliflower and broccoli but you can use any vegetables you like.

Make the sauce: finely chop the onion and celery.

In a deep sauté pan melt the butter and add the vegetables. Stew till the onion is transparent. Add the flour and mix everything well at once.

Gradually add the warm milk and stock to the sauté pan – it will help to prevent lumps. Mix everything well again and bring the sauce to a boil. Reduce the heat and cook till thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Meanwhile cook the pasta in slightly salted water for 5 minutes under the recommended cooking time. Pour off the water and set aside.

In a small pan melt 15 g butter and mix quickly with the breadcrumbs. You will have wet breadcrumbs. Pour off the oil from the tuna and combine the latter with the vegetable mixture and pasta.

Add the sauce and mix.

Put the mixture into a baking form (we used a 20x30 cm).

Sprinkle evenly with the breadcrumbs. Bake in the middle of the oven for 20-25 mins till golden. Remove the cooked casserole from the oven, leave for 10 mins and serve.
