Anthill is one of the cakes that everyone remembers from their childhood. Sweet and appetizing, it is always loved by children for its taste and appreciated by mothers for its simplicity. The cake is often made from biscuits but today we offer a more interesting, though still simple version. Please your children and make the anthill cake together.

Prepare the ingredients.

In a bowl combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda, mix well. Add the cold butter to the dry ingredients. Crumble everything together by fingers or in a food processor.

Add the egg and sour cream and knead the dough.

Divide the dough into several equal parts, wrap in a clingfilm and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Proceed the cold dough through a meat grinder.

Layer a baking sheet with parchment and spread the ground dough on it.

Bake in the middle of the oven for 15-20 mins.

Remove the baked dough from the oven and let cool. After that grind the dough with a rolling pin or with your hands, so that there are still some big pieces.

Make the cream: cube the butter and whisk with a mixer till pale, about 3-5 mins. Still whisking, add the condensed milk (or dulche de leche) and honey.

Continue whisking for another 5 mins. The cream should have the consistency of thick sour cream.

Add the cream to the bowl with crumbs and mix well.

Pile the mixture onto a serving plate and form a hill.

Tips:

1. If you have no meat grinder, grate the cold dough.
2. You can make your own dulche de leche. Just put the condensed milk can into water, so that it fully covers it, bring to a boil and cook for 3 hours.
